WXG VII Chat: JJ Thomas
Welcome to the EXPN.com moderated chat room. On Thursday, January 30, pro snowboarder and Winter X Games VI superpipe gold medalist JJ Thomas dropped by to host a special Winter X Games VII chat.
Unleashing his signature McTwist in a variety of contests, JJ had a big season last year. The combination of his win in Aspen and a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics would definitely be considered a high point for any snowboarder. Not to mention a hero's welcome upon return to his home town of Golden, Colorado. We caught up with JJ last month in Mammoth to document an Execution and January 30th was your chance to catch up with JJ to ask him whatever was on your mind. Moderator: Hi everybody out there, we have JJ here with us now so let's get started. Spencer Maple Valley: Hey JJ, I have been watching you ride for quite sometime now, and I just wanted to let you know that you have one of the best and most progressive styles in the sport today. By the way, McTwist your first hit in your run bra.  JJ Thomas: Thanks for the props dude.
crackman: Do you smoke crack? JJ Thomas: Hell yeah.
Lisa, Little Rock: Are you partyin it up in Aspen this weekend? JJ Thomas: Lisa, I'm gonna get wasted tomorrow after the pipe contest, you gonna be around?

Chanel Washington, San Diego: Rumor has it that you'll be riding with Burton, is this true if so CONGRADULATIONS JJ yeah, alright nice job I'm happy for you say hi to Shaun White for me heard you beat him last year at the Winter X Games GOOD JOB !!!!!!!!!!!!! JJ Thomas: No I'm definietely not getting on Burton anytime soon, Ride snowboards are way better. Thanks for the props, peace.
Jamie, San Diego: JJ would you rather ride a day in the park of Mammoth or some back country powder? I like both but we dont get much pow here in So Cal. JJ Thomas: Powder is where it's at. Although a nice slushy park day is always fun.
Young Zee, Boston: JJ your sh*t is sick but I'm a skier and what do ya think about skiing joinging the X Games and the sh*t that they're throwing down. JJ Thomas: Skiing is cool and those guys rip it up pretty hard so it's all good.

Travis - Boston: Yo JJ...I am another Thomas. When is McDonald's gonna give you some props for doing the McTwist? JJ Thomas: Thomas' kick ass.
Cindy (Calgary): Who won the boarder X JJ? JJ Thomas: What is Boarder X again?
toddrone (Denver): JJ represent~!!..............What do you recommend when doing McTwists off a kicker ? Can it be pulled....Coz there's this huge kicker at Blue Sky Basin.... JJ Thomas: You better save that McTwist for the pipe. On jumps you should stick to flat spins, underflips and stuff like that.
