Welcome to the EXPN.com moderated chat room. On Thursday, January 30, pro snowboarder and Winter X Games medal collector Barrett Christy will drop by to host a special Winter X Games VII chat.

With a style all her own and signature tricks like the Barrett Roll, she is definitely one to watch in the women's superpipe and slopestyle competitions. Barrett has been having a busy season chasing the pow and living the snowboard dream. Now is your chance to ask her what's on your mind.

Barrett won't be stopping by until 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 30 but fire off your question now and we'll save it until she gets started.

Check the upcoming chat schedule for your chance to chat with other Winter X Games VII athletes!

Moderator: Hey we're here with Barrett so let's go.

Jennie, San Francisco: Hi Barrett, I read about being able to ride with you in Vail, retreat this? Is that still going on? What's it about?

Barrett Christy: Jennie, Yes! I am doing a camp in Vail the first week of March called Retreat Yourself. It's for women at any ability to teach or improve your snowboarding, but including other fun activities like yoga, snowmobiling, spa treatments, etc. You should come! Check it out at www.ridewithbarrett.com or at www.nikegoddess.com.

BC Buds: How has Craig Kelly's death affected you? Can you comment on what this represents for less-experience backcountry riders?

Barrett Christy: It is a huge loss for so many of us. Craig represents all that I love about this sport. He has worked hard at learning all about the back country and was in the process of learning how to protect others by getting his guide certifications. I only wish I had a chance to be one of Craigs clients. There are many things you can do to prevent these dangers, but it is no guarantee. It is an incentive to learn more for me and many others. Keep riding and following your dreams like Craig.

mickey D (Utah): Barrett, u gotta show the "new girls" how to ride.. coz u are the essential lady of snowboard~!! are u spending more time in backcountries or competitions? We , the older gen salutes you~!! I just turned 30~

Barrett Christy: Thanks so much for the support! 30 isn't so bad. It's kind of weird competing against 15 year olds, but all I can say is I hope they manage to still be having this much fun when they are my age! I am competing a little less these days, but riding more powder. I hope to get more time on the mountain away from the parks, but what can I say, I keep coming back! Thanks again, take care

toddrone ( denver): Hey Barrett.........are u still with Temple Cummins ?? if not,... can a Joe Schmooe like me get together witcha??.`~!?? I ride Blue sky most of the times........hope to see ya...........

Barrett Christy: Joe Schmooe is kind of a funny name. I don't think I could be with someone with that name. I am with Temple still. I am flattered, though! I will be in Vail for much of the season. Hope we get more snow here soon!

Eric (Seattle): I was at the Mt. Baker Banked Slalom the year you and Temple won. The winning runs for you both were incredible to watch and the LBS vibe is so friendly.

What advice can you offer to an (older) amateur racing in the Banked Slalom for the first time and just for fun? (Especially considering that conditions may not be so great this year.)

Barrett Christy: Hi there. I am really excited to head up to the Banked Slalom next week. That was the only year I won, so I'm glad you were there! I don't always go fast enough, so my advice would have to be, ride as much as you can leading up to the event. I think it's all about having big strong legs and confidence in your board. Keep it just for fun, that's what I do. I think the conditions are getting better up there as we speak, so hopefully it will be some fun riding. Wax with One Ball Jay for speed! That's what Temp does!

Andy, NYC: Barrett, I've followed your career since you left us in D-Town...I don't have any questions, just wanted to say Congrats on all your sucess. Best of luck in the years to come.

Barrett Christy: Thank you for following! I can't believe how many places snowboarding has taken me. I still go back to visit Dtown every summer, and usually some trips to NYC. Take care.

Kiddie Cocktail: Of all the young girls coming up, who do you think is the biggest threat to take medals this year at X?

Barrett Christy: Seriously. There are alot of good girls now in all the disciplines. You never know what the day will bring, I think Hanna Teeter, Kelly, and Gretchen are riding really well, but so are alot of girls! In the slopestyle my vote is always for Janna. I would likely vote for her even if she were competing against the dudes. But... you never know!

David (Boston): What's your favorite TV show?

Barrett Christy: If you must know, my favorite TV show is Sex in the City. I usually end up renting them on video, because I don't have HBO.

GigHarbor: Is it true that you and Temple are learning tindy airs?

Barrett Christy: Actually, Temple mastered those long before me. I think he learned them from his brother Matt.

lewis: you are absolutely the hottest female snowboarder. Competing in the banked slalom next weekend? Need a date?

Barrett Christy: I don't know if I want to tell you where I'm going to be next weekend. You sound a little scary!

Ken, Boulder: What up? Colorado represent! Howz it feel to have the homefield advantage in Vail?

Barrett Christy: It's always good to have the home state advantage, unfortunately the X Games aren't being held in my home mountain of Vail this year. Maybe in the future. I am glad I have been around Vail long enough this season to adjust to the high altitude. It makes hiking the pipe alot easier.

Barrett Christy: Thank you all for your stoke-out! Gotta go.
