At 16 years of age, most girls are worrying about boys or getting their driver's license. Torah Bright, however, is too preoccupied with capturing the attention of the snowboard industry on an international level. She is one of Australia's most recognized up-and-coming snowboarders. With her combination of skill, looks and intelligent down-to-earth persona, she has become one of the most popular media properties in the industry.

Torah is one of the most progressive women riders in snowboarding. She is extremely aggressive and is not afraid to go big. Torah charges the park and the pipe with tenacity. Most women riders typically do 10 hits in the pipe, but Torah usually does seven, going big throughout her runs.

Considering her accomplishments, Torah's remarkably modest about her abilities. In just a short time, she has managed to secure herself a scholarship with the New South Wales (NSW) Institute of Sport, win a bronze medal at the International Snowboarding Federation (ISF) Junior World Championships in Halfpipe, and has captured numerous national and international competitions including the open women's events (Big Air & Halfpipe) at last year's Planet X Winter Extreme Games in Perisher, Australia.

Last winter marked her first season competing both in the United States and in the women's pro category. Winter X VII will be her first X Games appearance where she will compete in Snowboard Slopestyle. She finished second in Big Air at the World Snowboarding Championships in Vail, Colo. Her dedication and strong interest in local and international competitions stems from her ultimate goal -- to one day represent Australia in the Olympics.
