I like 'Blair Hibbert'!
ESPN Winter X Games Research Feb. 03, 2001
So you wanna burn up the course like Blair Morgan, catch big air like Tucker Hibbert? Some youngsters got a chance to emulate their heroes in Friday's Junior SnoCross competition on Beaver Hill Run. They know how to race by watching the pros, but do they know what to say to the press? Here's what a few SnoCrossers had to say about their moment in the sun:
Noah "Bones" Pierpont, age 6, son of Scott Pierpont, Managing Director of Mount Snow:
Q: Why do they call you "Bones"? A: Because I have a boney bum. Ben "The Coaster" Herrick, age 8, at his first ever race: Q: How old are you? Ben: Seven and a half. Ben's father: No, you're not. You're six!" Cody "Superfly" Pederson, age 8: Q: Have you ever won a race? A: I've never won a race, but I got one first place. George "Bull's-eye" Molner, age 8: Q: Are you going to defend your title? George: Huh? I got Tucker Hibbert's autograph today. Q: Who do you want to beat the most? George: That kid (pointing at a surpised 6-year-old named Derek Roy who looked like he'd just been called out at home plate). Q: How did you get your nickname "Bull's-eye"? George: I don't know, that guy over there just told me what it was. Austin "Powers" Pitlik, age 8, nephew of SnoCross pro Brad Pitlik: Q: Who is your favorite pro? Austin: Who do you think? (ouch) Unidentified future SnoCrosser: Q: Who's your favorite pro racer? A: Blair Hibbert (great combination) ![]() | |||||||||||||||
