MOUNT SNOW, Vt. -- We are here in the bitter, bitter, bitter, bitter cold on top of the halfpipe which I must say looks pretty damn neat to me. The walls are a perfect 15 feet and everybody is going 12-15 feet. Dan Kass is here and Mike Michalchuk throwing his double back flips and a whole barrage of the Euro invasion guys. I don't know their names but I know they are getting huge air.

These days here at Mount Snow have taken a toll on my health. I am in complete pain, I have the flu, my nose is running, it's running more runs than they are taking in the pipe for practice. Me being the smart guy I am, I am wearing a t-shirt under my jacket in what seems like 400 degree below zero weather and blazing wind.

The riders don't seem to think the weather is a big deal because it's a downhill wind. They just hit a wall, the wind blows them halfway down the pipe and they land so they get bigger air with this wind than they would without it. So they look more studly.

Peter Line wants a hug.

Local Kelly Clark rode really well. As did Shannon Dunne which is no surprise. ESPN television has me interviewing people and I get to interview all these beautiful girls. They also had me interview Kelly and Shannon's parents. That was fun seeing as how I'm broken and I can't ride. I'm drinking my Red Bull though to keep me enthusiastic about talking to people.

Shannon Dunn was the halfpipe winner with a McTwist and a frontside 720 in her run. Todd Richards had some problems on the men's side. He's claiming that the walls were I guess inconsistent. Dan Kass was sticking all of his runs, big 720s, he was going huge. Michalchuk was doing his big double backflips and alley oop 900s. Ross Powers rode insane as usual. He did a backside 360 to fakie, one of my favorite tricks. I always like to see that in the pipe. Not necessarily the most high-pointed trick but it definitely adds to the whole style of the run.

TR on one of his runs did a little 720 to deck, dropped in and did another 720 and stuck it. That kid is pretty much an alien when it comes to tricks. Especially after coming in second in slopestyle.

I had to go and get my face shot today for some video game that is coming out. But I forgot my goggles and they got mad at me. It put me in a horrible mood and all I wanted to do was go to sleep. Finally after walking five miles back to my hotel, I was able to crash and have the best time I've had at the X Games so far.
