Aggressive In-Line Skating
Organizer: The Aggressive Skaters Association Aggressive in-line skating began on the streets when "pioneers" took traditional in-lining to the next level: grinding handrails, jumping stairs, and skating the halfpipes at local skateboard parks. Fast-forward 8 years, it is now a well known sport and a success internationally. Another In-Line skating phenomenon is the tender age of the competitors, the average is years younger than among other X Games athletes. Each In-Line contest is more exciting than the last because each season a host of new professionals enter the circuit, each one bringing a new and unique bag of tricks. This year a whole new generation of men and women skaters will be taking the course. Joined by the maturing champions, fresh faces will be put head-to-head against time-tested talent. Park Skating
Location: First Union Complex-Outdoors
The park competition gathers 25 of the world's best park skaters and puts them up against ramp-designing veterans. The course is the same for in-line skaters and bicycle stunt riders. The course is comprised of ledges, handrails, wedge ramps, quarter pipes, spine ramps and street-oriented obstacles.
