X Games Skateboarding For Play Station 2
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - How hard is it to qualify for the most intense sporting competition in the world -- the 2001 X Games? Participants throughout Philadelphia will find out as Konami and ESPN present the ESPN X Gamers Challenge. This exhilarating competition marks the first time that a video game -- ESPN X Games Skateboarding for the PlayStation 2™ computer entertainment system -- will be included as an official Summer X Games event. The game rolls into stores on August 14, right before the start of the 2001 X Games.
Following the success of ESPN Winter X Games Snowboarding, this second installment to the already successful X Games franchise dares gamers to get huge air and soar over the crowd in the half pipe in their quest for X Games glory. The first skateboarding game to roll onto the PlayStation 2 enables players to win X Games gold or use their boarding prowess to master hidden tricks on three challenging courses in the nation's greatest cities -- Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. Gamers can also take a break from reality and challenge their imagination and skills in any of three mind-blowing fantasy levels including: a luxury liner, ancient ruins and a natural history museum. The most realistic skateboarding game available, ESPN X Games Skateboarding features eight of the finest professional riders in the world including: Bob Burnquist, Colin McKay, Chris Senn, Kerry Getz, Carlos DeAndrade, Chad Fernandez, Rick McCrank and Lincoln Ueda as well as the hottest industry sponsors and equipment. Featuring over 12 high-intensity tunes from artists such as Linkin Park, New Found Glory, Voodoo Glow Skulls, ESPN X Games Skateboarding will be available on August 14 on the PlayStation 2 for the suggested retail price of $49.99 and the Game Boy Advance for $39.99. |
