Last year's gold medallist and definitively coming back with a vengeance to defend his title. Also owns the Guinness World Record in the event. Expect Tommy to soar to new heights at this year's X

Jeremy Stenberg 2-1
With Clowers out for most of the FreeRide season, Stenberg owned the discipline and is the number one qualifier. He loves this - one hit, which is perfect for his concentration span, and he like to go big. Mad skills could easily put him past Tom Cat in a close finish and on top of the podium.

Ronnie Renner 5-1
Ronnie who? Well, this is the only kid to beat Twitch this year, and if conditions are right (good, hard-packed take off which Eastern dirt should allow), he could add Tom Cat to his list of victims and ride off with X Games gold.

Brian Deegan 8-1
Hard to imagine a guy with a bad ankle putting it all on the line when he's dreaming of freestyle gold, and he's been on the competitive sideline for a while now. But last year he grabbed a medal in his first ever try at this event, and if he puts his mind to it, anything is possible for the bad boy.

Shawn Highland 10-1
Big Shawn is riding the Big Pig 426 this year, and if he can stay on the bike on his landings, he has an outside chance to step up if everyone stumbles. And he's always a hungry guy who thinks of himself as a step-up specialist.

Jeff Tilton 12-1
Without having to worry about judges not fully appreciating his wonderfulness, Tilt should be focused and ready to go vertically full tilt. It also helps that he practices with his old roommate and best bro, Tommy Clowers.

Adam Pierce 20-1
Barely sliding in to the X Games, he's been known in the past to grab a step up win, so you can't count him out. Just don't bet the rent.

Jeremy Carter 50-1
He has skills and has done OK in this event in the past, but his bike has to hold up and he has to really go for it past where he's gone before.
