ESPN X Trials Selects 2001 Location

Grand Prairie, Texas to Serve as First Stop
What: A two-stop competition featuring more than 250 athletes from around the world, the ESPN X Trials showcases athletes competing for medals, prize money in excess of $100,000 per stop, and an open bid to the invitation-only 2001 ESPN X Games.
When: May 18-20, 2001
Where: Lone Star Park, Grand Prairie/Dallas, Texas
Sports: Bicycle Stunt: Vert, Park and Flatland
Skateboarding: Vert and Park
Aggressive In-Line Skating: Men's and Women's Vert and Park
Events: Are all free and open to the public
Coverage: 11 hours per stop of original programming aired on ESPN and ESPN2.
Xperience: The Xperience, a free-of-charge interactive village provided for spectators of all ages to test their skills in sportclimbing, bungy jumping and skating, will accompany the X Trials.
