Junior X Games Event Fact Sheet The inaugral Disney Channel/ESPN Junior X Games presented by Toyota, will take place prior to the Asian X Games Qualifier on November 1st and 2nd. The two day event will provide "competitive fun" for children aged 10-14 from 12 different countries throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim. These future stars will compete in events modeled after the X Games. The Junior X Games seeks to develop and build extreme sports at grass roots level, as a complementary extension of the Asian X Games Qualifier. The Junior X Games will include clinics and X Games workshops with professional X Games athletes. The competitions will use modified ramps, smaller climbing walls and a mini-halfpipe. Having successfully hosted the Asian X Games in 1998 and 1999, Patong Beach, Phuket, Asia's most popular holiday destination, with a strong international sporting infrastructure will be the host and venue for 2000.
