Skateboarding Park: The Rules
Judges: 4 judges Same format applies for Preliminary Round and Final Round: -2 x 60 second runs, best run score counts -4 judges score the competitors on a whole number 100 point scale. The highest and lowest score are thrown out. The 2 remaining scores are added together and divided by 2, to yield a score to 2 decimal places (e.g. 89.55). Judging Criteria: -Aggressive execution of maneuvers -Content: the number, difficulty, originality and variety of tricks successfully performed -Style - the fluid linking of individual tricks -Originality and style -Use of the course and ramps, boxes, handrails, etc. Top 10 competitors advance to the Final Round. Skaters will skate in reverse order of Preliminary Round rankings. The 1st place competitor will skate last and the 10th place competitor will skate first. Resolving Ties: Preliminary and Final Round 1. In the case of a tie, the next best run score will be considered. 2. If a tie still exists, the next run score will be considered. 3. If a tie still exists, all scores from the best run will be considered, including the previous high and low scores that were thrown out. 4. If a tie still exists, all scores from the 2nd best run will be considered. 5. If a tie still exists, all scores from the 3rd best run will be considered. 6.
