The 2001 Asian Xtour Taipei presented by Toyota has come to an end.

Spectators had a joyful action sports event at the parking lot near by Mitsukoshi department store on August 4th and 5th, 2001 while over 200 Taiwan action sports athletes gave a wonderful performance at ESPN's 2001 Asian Xtour, Taipei presented by TOYOTA.

During the Asian Xtour's Taipei leg, native extreme sports athletes attended either the Junior X (under 14 years old) or X (no age limit) events of the Xtour. Both contests included in-line skating(park), skateboard(park), bicycle-stunt(park and flatland). Two athletes from each discipline, a total 24 athletes in all, will acquire the qualification to represent Taiwan in the 2002 Junior X Games and Asian X Games Qualifier presented by TOYOTA on 27 Jan -3 Feb, 2002 at Kuala Lumpur. The top 4 athletes from Junior X, and top 8 athletes from X will recieve complementary airfare to Kuala Lumpur.

A total of 204 Taiwan athletes enjoyed the Taipei leg, including 28 for in-line skating Junior X, 78 for in-line skating X, 7 for skateboard Junior X , 54 for skateboard X, 5 for bicycle stunt park Junior X, 13 for bicycle stunt park X, 5 for bicycle stunt flatland Junior X, 14 for bicycle stunt flatland X.

There are total 6 legs of 2001 Asian Xtour presented by TOYOTA. The first leg was held in Shanghai, and others were held in Bangkok, Taipei, Malaysia, Manila, and Singapore. The tour selects the excellent action sports athletes to join 2002 Junior X Games and Asian X Games Qualifier presented by TOYOTA on 27 Jan - 3 Feb, 2002 at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

Final Results

In-line skating Junior X
Cheng Lien-Da won championship with 33.75 points, Zhou Zhi-Hong and Chang Suo-Chien got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Junior X Games presented by TOYOTA next year, and Cheng also got a paid trip.

In-line skating X
Chen Chi-Chuan won championship with 63 points, Jacob Rvsh Whalen and Hong Jian-Ka got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Asian X Games Qualifier presented by TOYOTA next year, both Chen and Whalen got a paid trip. Additionally, Lai Kao-En got 4th place and also a wild card to attend 2002 Asian X Games Qualifier presented by TOYOTA.

Skateboard Junior X
ChenChi-Wen won championship with 75 points, Xie Yu-Shan and Ho Jen-Chich got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Junior X Games presented by TOYOTA next year, and Chen also got a paid trip.

Skateboard X
Huang Yao-De won championship with 79.5 points, Christopher Tessier and Chen Chia-Hui got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Asian X Games Qualifier presented by TOYOTA next year, both Huang and Tessier got a paid trip.

Bicycle stunt park Junior X
Huang Shih-Yun won championship with 90.875 points, Jiang Si-Han and Zhen Qiao-Hong got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Junior X Games presented by TOYOTA next year, and Huang also got a paid trip.

Bicycle stunt park X
Zheng Pang-Chung won championship with 95 points, Liao Wu-Hsiung and Ye Shen-Xin got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Asian X Games Qualifier presented by TOYOTA next year, both Zheng and Liao got a paid trip.

Bicycle stunt flatland Junior X
Xu Zi-Hao won championship with 91.5 points, Jiang Si-Han and Huang Si-Yun got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Junior X Games presented by TOYOTA next year, and Xu also got a paid trip.

Bicycle stunt flatland X
Tsai Lin-Ping won championship with 93.75 points, Lin Chen-Ji and Yeh Ching-Sung got 2nd and 3rd place, all of them will acquire the qualification to attend 2002 Asian X Games Qualifier presented by TOYOTA next year, both Tsai and Lin got a paid trip.

2001 Asian Xtour Taipei presented by TOYOTA was produced by ESPN and hosted by the Taipei City Government. And the other sponsors includes Toshiba, Polaroid, adidas, and Hey Song Corp Wayne coffee.
