Who:
Whether they are planning a vacation or just picking what time is best to arrive, action sports enthusiasts have been eager to see the X Games VIII contest schedule. Today, ESPN announces its competition schedule and its X Games VIII hotline information.

What:
The ESPN X Games annually gather 300 of the world's best action sports athlete from seven sports who compete for medals and prize money. X Games VIII will include events in: Aggressive In-Line Skate, Bicycle Stunt, Downhill BMX, Moto X, Skateboard, Speed Climb and Wakeboard.

The X Games are the premier and original summer action sporting event. ESPN International's 21 networks will distribute the event to over 150 million households worldwide in more than 110 countries and 19 languages. Domestically, X Games VIII will air from August 17-23 on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC.

Where:
X Games VIII will be held in and around the First Union Complex from August 15-19. There are three additional events that will be held August 10-13 at venues around Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. Information on the locations are listed in the below schedule.
