Q: How much are tickets and where are they being sold?
A: The ESPN X Games are FREE to the public. There are no tickets or passes necessary for entrance into the venue. Entrance is based on a first come basis.

Q: Where are the X Games being held?
A: The primary venue for the ESPN X Games is the First Union Complex. Events will be held at the First Union Complex from August 15-19. There are also satellite venues for some of our other competitions. For all the info you need about getting to the Games including: Parking, venue maps & directions, accommodations and facts about Philadelphia, please visit the Philadelphia X Games site at Philadelphia X Games. In addition, you can also visit Extreme PA for info on action sports in Pennsylvania, interactive games, and much more.

Q: Is there parking on site or should I take public transportation to the First Union Complex?
A: Spectators highly are encouraged to take public transportation. There are SEPTA trains that run along the Broad Street (Orange) Line with an exit at Pattison Avenue for the Sports Complex. SEPTA buses #17 and the C Line also run near the First Union Complex. Spectators should buy their return trip token when purchasing their first token, this was will make your return trip faster. There is limited parking (pay lots) surrounding the venue of the X Games at the First Union Complex. Also, a secure bike check (free of charge) will be located at the main entrance.

Q: How can I volunteer for the X Games?
A: The ESPN X Games staff is currently recruiting volunteers for this years event. Space is limited and positions are given on a first come basis. Volunteer positions are for the full day. All volunteers should register at www.xgamesvolunteers.com.

Q: How can my business rent a booth at the X Games and how much does it cost?
A: This is the first year ESPN X Games will be hosting an onsite Action Sports eXpo. Businesses have the opportunity to rent a booth in the eXpo area. Contact BEWI Productions for more information and rates. Please go to Bewisports.com for info on exhibiting or call (781)890-3234.

Q: Can I compete in the X Games?
A: The ESPN X Games is the premier competition in action sports. The fields for the X Games are very limited and only the very best athletes in each sport are invited to the X Games.

Q: Can I bring my family to the X Games?
A: The X Games is known as one of the most fun and exciting free events for the entire family. Along with skate and bike check there is also a stroller check. The event is non-alcoholic and the environment is family oriented with several interactive activities for children.

Q: Is there a list of other activities that are going on during the X Games?
A: There is no formal listing of events in conjunction with the X Games. There is an X Games Host City Committee that has events listed on their website at Philadelphia X Games or check out Extreme PA.

Q: What superstars will be at the ESPN X Games?
A: All 300 athletes that will be competing in the 2002 X Games are superstars. Go to our 2001 Invited Athletes page to see who else will be there.

Q: I am a member of the media and I would like information about the X Games and credentials?
A: All media information for the X Games is available on www.espneventmedia.com. The application for credentials is also available on the website, however, credentials are granted to working media only.

Q: Are there any restrictions to what I can bring onto the venue?
A: All spectators are subject to a search prior to entering the X Games venue. The following items are not allowed on the venue: alcohol, bottles & glass containers, coolers, pets (excluding ADA assistance dogs), skateboards, inline skates, bicycles, scooters, and weapons. ESPN reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone at anytime.

Q: If I can't bring my skateboard or inline skates onto the venue, how do I go about getting it autographed?
A: If you desire to get your board or skates signed, then you will need to remove the trucks and wheels prior to entering the venue. There will be tools located at the skate check area at the main entrance. Shoes are required for those with In-line skates.
