SAN CLEMENTE, CA - The Professional Surfing Tour of America (PSTA) celebrates the official start of summer with the "Vans Off the Wall" at San Clemente Pier June 20-24, a one-star men's World Qualifying Series (WQS) event with a $10,000 prize purse.

Along with the men's WQS event, a longboard and women's competition will also take place for PSTA points. "As a Southern California company for more than 34 years, Vans is stoked to support surfing on the California Coast and beyond," said Jay Wilson, VP of world marketing for Vans. "Because we actively support surfing it makes sense for us to be a part of the PSTA."

This is the second year that the PSTA will host a summer event at San Clemente's Pier-bowl area, an excellent venue for spectators to watch the contest. Men's qualifying rounds take place Wednesday June 20 through Friday June 22. Qualifying rounds for the Women's contest and Longboarding division will take place on Saturday June 23, with semi's and finals for all divisions on Sunday, June 24.
