Snowboard Life Top 25: Random Icon

The Icon could easily represent the ideal freeride board. Teamrider Max Jenke designed this one and increased its tail stiffness to ensure landing stability. Carbon-fiber strips were added to the construction, creating a stiffer flex pattern and more snappy ride.

Even without knowing this, Jonathan called it out: "This one had a poppy, poppy tail. Olliemaster!"

Heaping the praise on, Kevin asked: "Why can't they all be like this?"

Kurt added, "This board really surprised me. A good general shape and usable flex made it easy to turn in all conditions. Somebody at this company must ride-didn't miss anything. No gimmicks or trickery, just good ideas."

The directional, sidewall- and woodcore-construction board scored highest on versatility with the testers.
