It's always tragic when accidents happen and even more so when it's someone as genuinely nice as Mervin pro rider Timmy Ostler. Riding the Park City halfpipe on Friday, December 29, Ostler fell and broke the C-6 vertebrae in his neck.
"It wasn't a really unusual fall, but he went over the nose and landed wrong," says Chris Owen, Mervin team manager. "He had surgery and is making a lot of progress. The doctors are expecting a full recovery."

As of now, Ostler remains in the rehabilitation unit of the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Timmy also rides for Quiksilver, Vans, Da Kine, and Smith. All of us at TransWorld Media wish him a speedy and full recovery.
