Drive: The Story of Mike Vallely

Build Worldwide is proud to announce the upcoming release of "DRIVE", a 50 minute documentary film directed by Mark Jeremias. "DRIVE" tells the story of Mike Vallely and his life in skateboarding. Centered on a cross-country road trip, "DRIVE" uses America's landscape as the impetus to explore Mike's views on the current state of the skateboard world, as well as reflections on what's really important to Mike and why he skates. Why Mike fights to keep his place in skating... why he fights for skateboarding.

"DRIVE" is the story of a true individual, his family, his friends, his work and his life. This will be a film to inspire and empower a whole new generation of individuals and skateboarders.

The film was shot on location in the US, Europe, and Russia. The soundtrack features Canyon, Fugazi, Golden, National Skyline, Sunday's Best, The Album Leaf and Turing Machine. The VHS and DVD releases will also include a bonus companion CD featuring tracks from Mike V and the Rats.

"DRIVE" will be available in better skate shops worldwide and online. Street Date is scheduled for March 29, 2002, with a film festival and premiere tour including spoken word performances and Q&A sessions with Mike V in major cities across America and select international locations.
