DC and Loud Records have teamed to promote the world-renowned X-ecutioners new album, Built From Scratch. The New York-based turntablist group, comprised of pioneers Rob Swift, Mista Sinista, Roc Raida, and Total Eclipse, will be representing DC to the fullest in the coming months. Look for the exclusive limited edition DC/Loud/X-ecutioners t-shirt, hitting the streets soon. The X-ecutioners are also set to move the crowd at DC's Spring 2002 ASR party. DC co-founder and co-owner Ken Block says, "The X-ecutioners are close to being legends in their own time for their turntable genius, I'm hyped to finally work with them."
DC is also proud to announce the pairing of DC Shoes with the Triple Threat DJs, Shortkut, Vinroc, and Apollo, arguably one of the greatest DJ crews spinning now, or ever. Apollo was a founding member of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Shortkut was both a Skratch Pikl and a World Famous Beat Junkie, and Vinroc is the only DJ to win back-to-back International Turntable Federation World Championships. The three DJs teamed up for the 2001 Triple Threat DJ Tour, which is currently playing dates in Japan.
The Triple Threat DJs are scheduled to play DC's February ASR party with the X-ecutioners. Their live show is strictly off the chains: Apollo, Vinroc, and Shortkut combine battling, turntablism, and mixing with the long-lost element of party rocking. DC co-founder Damon Way says, "Apollo, Vinroc, and Shortkut have to be some of the top DJs in the world right now. I'm glad we can help them out, and I can't wait to see the Triple Threat DJs and the X-ecutioners perform at our party, it'll be good to see DJs cutting it up on the turntables and have people actually dancing."
