Oceanside, CA (September 28, 2003) The Xbox World Championships of Skateboarding concluded Sunday with
Andy Macdonald (San Diego, CA) winning a Ford Ranger FX4 as the 2003 Vans Triple Crown of Skateboarding Overall Champion. Andy Mac followed up his second-place finishes at the Vans Slam City Jam in Vancouver in May and at the Mountain Dew Nationals in New Jersey later that month with a fourth-place finish in Vert on Sunday.

Thirteen-year-old
Ryan Sheckler (San Clemente, CA) came into the weekend with two straight wins in Street to lead the overall Vans Triple Crown standings, but came in ninth place on Saturday in Street. However, Sheckler did take the Street overall points award and a check for $10,000.
The overall Vans Triple Crown champ could do no better than fourth Sunday because of huge days from winner
Bob Burnquist (Vista, CA), second-place finisher
Pierre-Luc Gagnon (Montreal, CAN) and third-place rider
Jake Brown (Oceanside, CA) who each put on aerial clinics en route to claiming the top three spots. It was Burnquist's third straight Vert title at the Xbox World's. Results.
The Xbox World Championships of Skate coincided with the Vans BMX Championships and the Vans/Surfing Magazine Airshow Series to bring the world's best skaters, BMX riders and progressive aerial surfers to Southern California. For those who couldn't make it out this weekend, the Xbox World Championships of Skateboarding will air on NBC Sports on December 20 at 3:00 pm EST, while the Vans Championships of BMX will air on Fox Sports Net October 20 at 4:00 pm regionally.
