Flying High In The Lonestar State

Round four of the AirMX series invaded Texas Motor Speedway this weekend and Clifford Adoptante tried to increase his point lead over Kris Rourke. Justin Homan made it to his first final round and Ronnie Faisst, Adoptante, Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg and Rourke joined him.

Twitch got things rolling with some huge air and some solid tricks. His run ended with a big Superman seat grab and 87 points, which was good enough for fourth place.

The Metal Mulisha's Ronnie Faisst was up next and although he came into the final round with a better score than Twitch, he ended his night in fifth place with 85.5 points.

Series points leader Clifford Adoptante went into the finals with the third best score of the night and his solid run landed him in second with 92 points.

Up next was Kris Rourke who sits second in the point standings. Knowing he needed to step it up he did some huge tricks including a two-handed seat grab/helicopter. This run was good enough for 92.83 points and the lead with only one rider left to compete.

Justin Homan was in high spirits after winning the step-up competition earlier in the evening and his momentum carried him into the finals. In unfamiliar territory the pressure seemed to get to the finals newcomer and although he had a solid run, he could only score 90.5 points which set him solidly in third.

Final Round Results:

1. Kris Rourke - 92.83
2. Clifford Adoptante - 92
3. Justin Homan - 90.5
4. Jeremy Stenberg - 87
5. Ronnie Faisst - 85.5

The point standings find Adoptante atop the pack, despite two consecutive second place finishes. While Kris Rourke inches closer to the top spot with his win, the Mulisha's Faisst remains in third place after his fifth place in Texas.

Point Standings:

1. Clifford Adoptante - 77.5 points
2. Kris Rourke - 68.5 points
3. Ronnie Faisst - 59.5 points
