Heidi Henry Sets the Stage

Last weekend, Heidi Henry, a professional freestyle motocrosser backed by KBC Helmets, made her debut at the fifth annual MTV Sports and Music Festival (SMF5) in Las Vegas. In addition, she made her mark in the short history books of freestyle motocross by being the first female to participate in a professional event.

The 23-year-old from Visalia, CA, recently set her sights on becoming the first female professional freestyle motocrosser and began training for exhibitions. She is now jumping freestyle ramps set at 75 feet. Through her participation in the MTV Sports and Music Festival she legitimately became the first female professional freestyle motocrosser.

MTV¹s SMF5 was held at Fremont Street Experience and Heidi was featured as the finale of "She Shreds" all-girl sports expo segment of the show that also included female pro skateboarders, in-line skaters and a BMX rider. She amazed the spectators and camera crew by jumping ramp to ramp on a very tight street course.

Among the many musicians and talent that appeared in the SMF5 were Ozzy Osbourne, Puddle of Mudd, Ludacris, Mark McGrath, Alyson Hannigan (American Pie), TJ Lavin, Chris Gentry, Brian Deegan and Mike Jones.
