Laguna Beach, CA March 1, 2002 - Women's Motocross League and Honda are
proud to present for the second year the "Girls Learn to Ride" Motocross
program. They will be holding 4 events this year, each at Honda Rider
Education Centers. The cities and dates are; April 6th and 7th in Colton,
CA, May 18-19, 2002 in Alpharetta, GA (near Atlanta), July 20-21, 2002 in
Troy, OH, and Irving, TX (near Dallas) with dates to be announced later.
The "Girls Learn to Ride" Motocross day will give girls of all ages an
opportunity to learn how to ride a dirt bike in a supervised and safe
environment. The event is open to girls and women 13 and over and costs $47
per participant. This includes a four-hour lesson by Honda's top licensed
instructors, a Honda XR dirt bike and equipment for the day, a membership
to Women's Motocross League, a donation to the Boarding for Breast Cancer
fund,a gift pack filled with goodies and entry into a raffle with prizes
like clothing, goggles and other items.
"The excitement and feedback we've gotten from girls nationwide about doing
a Dirt Bike Girls Learn To Ride has been overwhelming," says Mark Sperling,
Girls Learn To Ride event organizer. "The demand is even greater than we
anticipated. It is great that Honda and the Women's Motocross League are
partnering with us and supporting the event again for another year."

riding".
Girls Learn To Ride, now in its third year, is a series of one-day clinics
during which girls of all ages are given the chance to learn sports
typically dominated by boys and men; such as skateboarding, snowboarding,
surfing, wakeboarding, and motocross in a relaxing, safe, and fun
environment. Girls Learn To Ride hopes to encourage and empower girls of all
ages to learn, love and participate in these sports right along side the
boys. In 2002, Girls Learn To Ride will launch a series of nation-wide
clinics with over 25 events.
The Women's Motocross League (WML) is a non-profit organization ,
specializing in the promotion and development needs of the women's off-road
competitive motorcycle market. WML serves as a clearinghouse of information
by supporting the industry through race promotions, management, marketing,
training and public relations. WML is dedicated to serving female motocross
athletes and the motorcycle community by offering opportunities for
training, media exposure, and increased innovative growth programs. The WML
