GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (March 9, 2002) - This weekend the IFMA Freestyle Motocross made its debut in Grand Rapids. The sold out crowd was on their
feet for the entire show as IFMA veterans Kenny Bartram, Mike Jones and Nate
Adams rocked the house. Kenny Bartram came into the weekend with 10 total
wins on the season. He would leave with a couple more. IFMA point leaders,
Dustin Miller and Drake McElroy were on hand to try to keep Kenny from
gaining any ground.

Friday night once again showcased the smooth runs of the "Cowboy." The
entire IFMA season, Kenny has not missed a run until Friday night. For the
first time all season, Kenny did not transfer directly into the finals after
his first run. Scoring a 94.3 in the finals, the 6th place qualifier was
able to hold off the rest of the field. Nate Adams finished second with
Dustin Miller third.
"Every week is like a Triple Crown, one missed trick and your chances of
winning are over. Tonight I was able to take advantage of everyone else's
mistakes," said Kenny Bartram on Friday night.
Saturday nights sold out crowd witnessed freestyle motocross at it finest.
Once again, Kenny and Nate battled head to head. After qualifying first and
second, the battleground was set. Kenny was in the "Hot Seat" hoping his
score of 93.7 was enough to hold of Nate. Attempting a "sterilizer" on his
last jump, Nate Adams was gunning for the title. The "sterilizer" was too
much for Nate, after going down hard Kenny was left with his 12th win of the
season. Drake McElroy and Tommy Clowers followed with second and third
place finishes.
