Chad Reed and Pastrana waited for the media to fire questions about their reasons for riding. The media was so mainstream, they only wanted to know about injuries, and why they keep riding. After Chad (19) got ripped into about a few broken bones, Travis was going "oh boy this is going to hurt." When the crazy journalist presented the same question to Travis, he responded, "I'm kind of scared to answer your questions now, but I ride because I love the sport."

Travis and Reed.

This is the start of the first night of the Australian Championship. As you can see it is tight, and the gate only holds 10 riders. Trav liked that because it bettered his odds.

Waiting for the flag to drop.

Pastrana's stealth style flows over this rutted 80-foot step up. Yeah it sounds easy but the 80 footer is out of a corner, and the landing is so short they put a fence up so the riders don't become part of the grandstands. Travis actually tried to ride the fence in practice, but that is normal stuff for TP.

The 80ft fence triple.
