EVEN THOUGH I AM ONLY 17 YEARS OLD, IT SEEMS THAT I HAVE TRULY ESTABLISHED MYSELF AS A TOP COMPETITOR IN BOTH FREESTYLE AND MOTOCROSS. I FINISHED HIGH SCHOOL 3 YEARS EARLY WITH A 3.9 GPA AND AM CURRENTLY MAINTAINING A 4.0 IN COLLEGE. Travis Pastrana- How did a 17-year old kid become the world's best freerider? For Travis Pastrana, he started at age of four with a one-speed Honda Z-50, and soon after hammered his way through a string of National Amateur Motocross titles (5 time National Amateur Champion), becoming World Freestyle Champion at age 14, and an icon in the world of moto. Travis has done more in his 16 years than most racers have done or will do in their entire career. He has yet to lose a freestyle contest he has ridden, taking the gold in Freestyle two years in a row at the X Games, clinched the 125 Nationals and became the youngest rider on the winning Motocross des Nations team. In addition to racking up a full resume of jump-contest victories and video parts, Travis graduated from high school 3 years early, and is taking classes at the University of Maryland. Travis is a true-to-life American hero, with not only an enormous amount of contest achievements, but he also is well-known for his innocent, Mr. Nice Guy attitude who is on his way to become one of the sport's all-time greats. |
