There is life after Masters At Work...declare house music maestros Fred Everything and Jamie Thinnes of Seasons Records.
Representing their one-and-a-half year-old label, these two brought their rich and dynamic sound to the Beta Lounge for a special netcast. Combined, they've been making music and DJing for almost twenty years. Their diverse tastes embrace jazz, classic rock and Adrian Sherwood's Tackhead-era "industrial funk." But now they bring the unstoppable pulse of house, a music they feel, given its myriad of flavors from salsa to techno to dub, can represent anything, now and in the future.

Jamie and Fred are constantly on tour (Jamie runs the label via laptop and cell phone), crafting rhythmic solidarity for a global community of house enthusiasts. Look for a full-length release from Second Shift in the fall, as well as remix projects for Freaks and Derrick Carter. If you're in Huntington Beach, California, don't pass up Higher Source, their record store which features the sounds of Seasons Records and those of internationally respected house labels like Panhandle, Naked, Duffle Bag, Paper, Toko and Glasgow UG.
