Dave Mirra (BMX / Greenville, NC.) - Arguably one of the most dominant forces today in BMX, with 12 medals going into 2002 (nine gold/three silver) and coined the most decorated athlete in X Games history. Nicknamed the Miracle Man, Mirra has excelled in both vert and park riding since the inception of the X Games in 1995. Mirra has medalled in every X Games he has entered since then and just last year at the first annual ESPN Action Sports and Music Awards won Rider of the Year.

Fabiola da Silva (In-Line / Sao Paulo, Brazil) - Fabiola is the most recognizable female in-line skater in the world. Since the "Fabiola Rule" (introduced by the ASA in 2000, allows women to qualify into the men's vert finals), she has placed several times in the in the men's top ten. Last month at the Latin American X Games Qualifier in her home-country of Brazil, Fabiola went into the men's final in the first place position. After a near flawless 2 runs, Fabiola missed the gold by a mere three-tenths of a point and settled for silver. Through her dedication and determination, she has proven that she now can be measured against the best skaters in the world-- men and women.
Lincoln Ueda ( Skateboard / Guarulhos, Brazil ) - One of the most exciting vert skaters in the world, Ueda is always pushing the limits of just how high one can get on a vert ramp. Height is just one element this Brazilian talent, once he is up in the air it is just a matter of inspiration before he decides what trick to pull next. With an almost biblical run at the Latin American X Games Qualifier in Brazil this past March, (inverted arial to a double grab heelflip indy), Ueda claimed first place and a spot at this years invitational.
Allan Cooke ( BMX / Greenville, NC.) - Considered by many to be one of the best up and coming riders in the sport, Allan is quickly making his mark. The 20-year-old rider placed 5th at last years X Games and is expected to do very well again this summer at X Games VIII. Allan had a banner year in 2000, making the XG Park finals and getting into the dirt event as an alternate. He got massive media play, including a cover and interview in Ride Magazine (July, 2000). Last month at the first CFB Bike Series contest in Florida, Cooke began the season by finishing first in the park competition.

Rodolfo & Wagner Ramos (Skateboard Park/ Curitiba, Brazil) - After one of the best skateboarding park contests ever, two brothers went head-to-head for spots on the podium at the first-ever Latin American Qualifier last month. One of the 2, was in need of a spot to Philadelphia; the other-already had a spot to X Games VIII from a previous world competition. Wagner, the older of the pair, went into the final with no pressure. With a rowdy, supportive crowd, Rodolfo skated a strong, technical program and surpassed Wagner for the number one spot, putting him alongside his brother for their trip to Philadelphia
Jamie Bestwick (BMX / Woodward, PA) -Jamie is currently the number one ranked bike rider in the world and continuing to push the level of riding for his fellow competitors. After winning the gold in San Francisco in 2000, Bestwick was ready to claim his spot at X Games VII in Philadelphia. With only 2 weeks of riding and practicing before last year's X Games, Bestwick broke his foot, and watched and cheered the riders from the sidelines. The sitting and spectating didn't last too long as Jamie healed, rehabbed and won the gold at another contest 3 weeks later. Jamie is bigger and better than ever and certainly ready for Philadelphia and X Games VIII.
