29 January 2001, Kuala Lumpur: The final day of competition at the ESPN Junior X Games III presented by Toyota….

Closing off yesterday’s full day of competition was the skateboard finals which saw Australian Benjamin Bodnar taking first spot. Singapore made a good showing with Juraimi Bin Jumali and Endra Shafiq Bin Abd Razak taking second and third place respectively.

Malaysia dominated the bicycle flatland competition when Siraj B. Atan bested 16 other finalists for first place. Other hometurf champs were second placer Md. Fauzi B. Salleh, third placer Muhammad Atik B. Saifuddin and fourth placer Andy Shahuri.

Not surprisingly, the same three Malaysians made the appreciative crowd more proud when they won the top three spots for the Best Bicycle Flatland Trick competition. Although his speciality was park, Md. Fauzi B. Salleh wowed the judges enough to give him first place in the Best Bike Flatland Trick with compatriots Siraj B. Atan and Muhammad Atik B. Saifuddin coming in second and third.

Best Bicycle Park Trick went to audience favorite Malaysian Shahriman Rusdee. Thai Nuttapol Suwannatat and Singaporean Nur Amsyar Bin Hanafiah took second and third place.

The sponsor interactive village and spectator stands will be open to the public at 10:00am tomorrow.
