Even the X Games have to succumb to Mother Nature, as was proved today as the skies opened and the rain began to fall. Now, this wasn't just some small shower, this was a DOWNPOUR. Fans and athletes alike headed for cover as the vert ramp and park course were drenched. Despite the best efforts of the staff, the Inline Vert Doubles Competition had to be cancelled because the ramp was still too wet to skate on.

The rains came in the early evening though, and with the Bike Park event taking place in the morning the fans had plenty of action. It was all about the Australians in the park event and throughout the day as well.

Steven McCann took the gold, earning himself a ticket to Philly for the Summer X Games in the process. McCann was going large all day, throwing out a 360 tailwhip, a backflip transfer and a big truckdriver.

Second place went to Colin Mackay, who had some solid lines on both runs. He put together some nice transfers and a big superman seatgrab over the sub-box. All of that wasn't enough to bag first though. Rounding out the podium was fellow Australian Clint Miller.

Over at the rock wall, the women's bouldering gold was claimed by Australian Samantha Berry, Indonesian Yu Yun Yuniar was second and Shun Yuk Choi from Hong Kong placed third. On the men's side of things, Korean Jae Yong Lee was able to make it to the top while Hiroshi Okano from Japan placed second followed by Australian Alan Pryce in third.

Although there was too much water at the course to wrap things up, there was just enough for the wakeboarders over at The Mines Resort. At the lake it was again an all-Australian podium as Mark Kenny took first, Josh Sanders second and Brett Eisenhauer third.

The rains at the main venue may have wiped out the final event of the day, but Pop rock act, Def~Gab~C featuring Asheed, Eddie, Jemboo and Lee Space was still able to perform, entertaining spectators with their own unique fiery groovy brand of Malaysian cutting edge Pop Rock. Joining Def~Gab~C's performance was Reefa, one of the most popular rappers in the hip-hop world of Malaysia.

Also delighting the nearly 17,000 visitors on the day were the attractions in the interactive village. Kids flocked to the loud music and video game booths. They also had an opportunity to suit up for some sumo wrestling on the main stage.

Tomorrow is the final day for the Asian X Games and it will be a busy one, with four finals plus the rescheduled Inline Doubles finals tomorrow evening.
