With the SIA Tradeshow coming to an end and winter nearing its final months, every jibber in North America knew where they wanted to be this week. Parkasaurus II kicked off today at Snow Summit, California, with more than 35 skiers traveling to SoCal ready and willing to huck for the Freeze crew, a handful of cinematographers, including MSP, TGR and PBP and more digi fimlers than you can shake a stick at.
Most of the top jibbers - including Vinnie Dorion, Philou Poirier, J.F. Cusson, Matheu Paquette and two of the three Phils (Belanger and Larose) - made their way up to Snow Summit after traveling back from the Core Games in Japan. Also in attendance were Tanner Hall, Nick Mercon, Greg Tuffelmire, Clint Fiala, Josh Loubek, Jon Olsson, Andy Woods, Colin Otte, C.R. Johnson, John Turkula, Boyd Easily, Scott Hibbert, Matt Sterbenz, Eric Pollard, Dash Longe, David Crichton, Isaac Hurst, Steele Spence, Heath Ordway, Ryan Adami, Sara Burke, Kristi Leskinen, Jenn Zimmerman and others.

Day one found the Snow Summit's superpark in great shape and closed down for the shoot. All of the jumps had been built up the night before by the expert crew here and were looking like some of the best jumps we've seen this year. All of the athletes were teeing off and enjoying every second of the action. The top of the superpark consisted of a few rails and boxes and a hip jump rolling into an awesome kinked rail that most of the guys played around on for a few hours. As they dialed in on the rail, they began disastering the top section and landing on the bottom kink.
Later in the day, most of the jumpers sessioned the three huge lower jumps of the park, impressing everyone that had gathered to watch. Nick Mercon threw down an unbelievable d-spin 1080 followed by a misty 720. C.R. Johnson threw a couple of huge 900s and Matheu Paquette was going off, but the run of the day was laid down by Vinnie. Vinnie began his run with a huge 540 followed by a perfect underflip and finished up with a cool 180 Lu Kang.

At day's end, everyone was totally stoked. The weather couldn't have been any better with temperatures in the 60s and the sun blazing. Later that night, everyone went to the Parkasaurus Banquet Diner to eat pasta and check out the US Open TV show. To everyone's delight, one of the videos shown was the new addition of the Eider Clothes Win a Trip to Parkasaurus tape by the AIR PUP, Peter Proos. Peter was trying new things all day long and having the time of his life. As the entire room watched his video, Peter's movie impressed everyone with his creative backyard rail set-ups and unbelievable front yard road gaps.
