1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington D.C., (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO), who are 13 or over as of the date of entry. Offer void where prohibited by law. The period of the entire Sweepstakes is from June 12th, 2002, 3:00 PM E.T. to July 24th, 2002, 3:00 PM E.T. For purposes of these Official Rules, all times are Eastern Time (ET).

2. HOW TO ENTER: To enter the 2002 Going Pro with Dave Mirra Sweepstakes, (the "Sweepstakes") go to the web site at http://www.expn.com. You must be a registered member of EXPN.com or one of our partner sites to enter. Registration is free. If you are not a member, you can register by clicking on the link as indicated on the sweepstakes entry page and following the instructions. You will be asked to provide your name, e-mail address, zip code, birth date, gender and to select a password. You will also be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails. Consenting to receive promotional e-mails is optional and does not have to be agreed to in order to become a member. As a member, you may enter the sweepstakes by first logging in to the system with your current username and password. You may then be asked to answer survey questions or to consent to receive promotional e-mails from the Sponsor. Answering survey questions or consenting to receive promotional e-mails is optional and does not have to be agreed to in order to be eligible to enter the sweepstakes. To complete your entry, click on the "Confirm Entry" button. All eligible entries will be entered in the grand prize drawing.

MINOR POLICY: If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you must first obtain permission of parent/legal guardian before entering online; you may enter only after becoming a registered member of expn.go.com and providing your parent or legal guardian's e-mail address. EIV will notify the parent or legal guardian when their child has become a registered member of http://www.expn.go.com.

E-MAIL CHANGE OF ADDRESS POLICY: It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify ESPN/Starwave Partners d/b/a ESPN Internet Ventures, ("EIV") (the "Sponsor") in writing if the entrant changes his/her e-mail address. EIV, and their agencies are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic; including without limitation the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information online, or for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, delayed, stolen, misdirected or illegible entries. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. In case of dispute as to identity of a winner, such entry will be declared made by the registered user of the e-mail account, and if a prize is won, and such registered user is a valid entrant, the prize will be awarded to such registered user.

3. PRIZE DRAWING(S): One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about Wednesday, July 24th, 2002 from all eligible entries received. One (1) First Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during each of the six (6) weekly entry periods on or about the dates indicated below. To be eligible for the drawings, your electronically submitted entry must be received by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24th, 2002.

Prize drawings will be conducted by EIV. By participating, entrants agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Winners will be notified on or about the date of the prize drawing.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. Limit one prize per person.

Winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes on prize, as well as any and all expenses relative to participation in Sweepstakes (including acceptance of prize) not specified herein. Prize returned as undeliverable or otherwise not claimed within fourteen (14) days after being sent will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Prize is not transferable. No prize substitution or cash equivalent of prize except at Sponsor's sole discretion due to prize unavailability for any reason and only then for prize of comparable value or cash equivalent. The prize is awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). All entries will be declared made by the registered user of the e-mail address.

5. ELIGIBILITY: Employees or agents of EIV and Dave Mirra and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies, and the members of their immediate families or those persons living in the same household of such individuals are ineligible to enter or win. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.

6. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: If potential winner does not respond to notification e-mail within two (2) days of its transmission, or should an e-mail, after up to three (3) attempts, be returned as undeliverable, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Grand Prize Winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where legal, Publicity Release, within fifteen (15) days of the date printed on the prize notification. Minors will be required to provide Sponsors with a Parental Permission Form, which will be sent to any potential prize winner who is a minor. To be eligible to receive prize, the Parental Permission Form must include parent's or legal guardian's signature (signifying approval of child's entry in sweepstakes) and be returned by mail (or by fax) to the address (or fax number) indicated on the Form within fourteen (14) days of notification. Any minor who does not provide this completed and executed parental Permission Form within fourteen (14) days will forfeit his or her right to be declared a winner and/or win a prize and an alternate winner will be selected. If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to: (a) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes; or (b) earthquake, flood, fire, storm or other natural disaster, act of God, labor controversy or threat thereof, civil disturbance or commotion, disruption of the public markets, war or armed conflict (whether or not officially declared) the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate, and/or suspend the Sweepstakes and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, violates these official rules, or acts in a disruptive manner. In such event, the prize winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation, termination or suspension.

By participating, entrants release EIV, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies, and the employees, officers, directors and agents of any of the above organizations from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession or use/misuse of a prize or participation in any prize-related activities. Where legal, by accepting prize, winner grants permission to use his/her name, address, likeness, photograph, and statements by EIV, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising/promotional agencies for advertising/publicity purposes without further compensation.
