When will I know if my entry has been selected for the festival?
You will be notified by early-July if your work has been accepted for presentation at the festival. At that time we will need a press kit that includes a credit list, a synopsis of the film, production notes, bios/résumés for the filmmakers and actors, exhibition history, and still photographs (color or B&W, photo or digital file on disc or CD).
The exhibition formats for the festival are 35mm film, 16mm film and Beta SP video. If you do not provide us with a Beta SP or film version we will need your completed work in the best possible video form that is directly transferable to Beta SP.
Awards: Tube will have three awards presented as part of the festival. A jury composed of a combination of film experts, action sports athletes, and other luminaries in the fields of action sports and film, will award a prize for Best Animation and Best Overall Film. An audience survey will determine the Viewer's Choice Award.
Content permitting, the winner of the Best Overall Film will have the opportunity of be shown on ESPN2.
