Adidas announced today it has reached a
multi-year agreement with X Games gold medallist and BMX athlete Bruce
Crisman. A native of Portland, Ore., Bruce will continue to wear adidas BMX
footwear in upcoming contests throughout 2002.
"I am very happy to be with adidas - they are one of my favorite sponsors,"
Crisman said. "They have been helping me for the past three years and have
always been great. I'm happy I can ride for a company with so much knowledge
and background in shoes."
Crisman gained international notoriety when he won a gold medal in the BMX
Park event at the Summer 2001 X Games in Philadelphia, Pa. Recently married,
22-year-old Crisman has been riding for more than 8 years. A Woodward
regular, Crisman makes his home in Tigard, Ore., where he is minutes away
from adidas America headquarters.
Crisman's next tour is Road Fools starting January 4th, 2002 from Los
Angeles, Calif. to Las Vegas, Nev. His sponsors include Diamondback, Thor
MX and Salvation Clothing. He will continue to ride in the adidas Nyquist
signature shoe as well as others in the adidas footwear line.
