What keeps you psyched on BMX?
I think it's that I've been racing for so many years. That's the side of BMX that I really like. Racing against seven guys, and seeing who can go the fastest into the first turn and hold their speed.
What sacrifices have you made to stay involved in BMX?
I haven't really sacrificed anything. I'm just doing a few races so I can still be involved. Probably the only thing that I have sacrificed is my spare time. If I didn?t race BMX I would have a lot more free time.
Have you ever had a second job to support your racing?
No.
What are your goals for racing right now?
Just to be on the podium at every race. I'm racing just enough ABA races to get enough scores so I can hopefully retain the ABA title.
Do you have plans for the future outside of BMX?
At the end of the year I'm going to start racing some Velodrome, and if everything goes well I am going to shoot for the 2004 Olympics.
Have you made any financial plans for your retirement?
Yeah, basically I've got two financial managers. So yeah, pretty much.
