Last month I came home from Zurich to find the New Fugazi CD, "Argument",
with a note from Ian MacKaye. I felt like a little kid. It was like a
little box of energy with a note from Superman.

Argument, to me, is a testimony of the time that you feel. It's on the
deck with me right now, and it gets a new identity every session. It
conveys focus and, knowing where it comes from, it gives me the trust to
follow my heart even if it wants to do something where the odds are
stocked up against me. (Hence the reason I have a sprained wrist from
doing an air as high as I could into a flair) It's about the music,
energy, where it comes from and where it's going.

Fugazi, to me, is the all time greatest band in the world. They
represent a whole world of never having to compromise, conform, or
question what the true value of art is. They influenced the DIY
attitude and questioned and challenged all the rules and develop there
own. They are in control of their own destiny. they define it. Thanks
for the so many great sessions-
