His fellow athletes crowned him Superpark MVP for the feat. Thovex lost no momentum coming into the '02/'03 season. He took first in slopestyle, and seconds in both big air and halfpipe on his way to an overall win at the Rip Curl Freeski comp at Saas Fee, SUI in Dec.
