Notable:
Three time XG Flatland gold medalist, Trevor Meyer is back in 2002.. He stopped riding the unconventional direct-drive system and has returned to freecoaster. Never one for the "normal" setup, Meyer is riding his brakes reversed with the rear brake lever on the left side of his handlebars and front lever on the right. Trevor won the EXPN Inv. # I and landed 2nd at the EXPN Inv. #2, showing he is still a contender despite two years off the X Games podium.

Quote:
Not only has Trevor changed his drivetrain, he's also changed his riding habits. "I like to warm up by riding the ramps," says Meyer, " cruise around the course and jump a little just to get warmed up for flatland. I just do the basic stuff, like over the box jump. I'm no good at it but I just like to get warmed up that way. I'm sure I could pick up a lot of that stuff pretty easy though."
