Janna Meyen is one of the early rulers of women's snowboarding. Building on two strong seasons, Janna is coming into the '02/'03 winter ready to step it up a notch. She is renowned for her aggressiveness, especially on rails. More interested in film and video, Janna is almost reluctant to compete, but is very effective when she does.

"I'm super-last minute with everything. If I'm gonna do a contest I don't know I'm going to go there until like the day before or a few days before. I usually don't have a plane ticket or a place to stay when I get there. Then I go there and feel like it's unexpected that I'm supposed to be there and I avoid the pressure that way. Pretty much I try not to stay focused to stay focused. I try not to think about contests at all."
