Growing up in Baltimore without a crew to skate with kept Rodney an amateur for over 10 years. He made into the pros in 2002, finishing the year an impressive 4th in European WCS rankings, with a career high (street) of 2nd place at the Mystic Skate Cup ('02), in Prague.
