Notable:
The multi-talented Richard Gay finished third in men's moguls at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, just edging Jonny Moseley off the podium. Gay retired from the World Cup of freestyle moguls after the 2001/2002 season, and says he will compete in skiercross for the next two years. Gay is not a new face to WX however, he finished fourth in Skier X in 2000.

Quote:
"Going into the Olympics, I was leading the World Tour in dual moguls so I knew I was a good skier, but it was my first Olympics, so I was a little bit afraid about the competition. Everything was very good for me, the course was long and the snow was really good. I improved everyday, so it [bronze medal] was not a surprise," says Gay.
