Going out on a limb in 2003, Easley dropped his sponsor, Rossignol, to ski for the new rider-driven company, Armada Skis. Easley broke his tailbone in the SuperPipe practice at WX '02 and finished 11th. He went on to finish 2nd at the Red Bull Huckfest in Snowbird, UT and 1st in big air at the Cham Jam in Chamonix, FRA later in the season.
